The 2020 Port Sunlight Festival of Running will be retaining its June date for 2020 and will be taking place in Wirral's most picturesque venue on 14th June.
The 5K and 10K races will be held at the usual times of 10.00am and 11.00am respectively.
In addition to the main 10K and 5K races there will once again be a 1K fun run for the children which will take place at the conclusion of the 10K race.
The children's 1K will be an enter-on-the-day arrangement and entries will be taken in the ENQUIRIES TENT which is just by the start and finish area.
What’s the cost?
The 10K Standard Entry Fee is £26
The 5K Standard Entry Fee is £20
When booking online you will be charged a Service Fee by the booking company which will be added to your Entry Fee.
We CANNOT take event entries over the phone.
Race packs will be sent out approximately three weeks before the race date or as when received after that date, subject to entries still being taken.

You enter the Port Sunlight 5K/10K on the understanding that once the entry is accepted it is
not possible to provide refunds, deferments or entry transfers. Changes in personal circumstances prior to the event cannot be taken into account.
This includes injury or any other medical condition arising once your entry is accepted.
Standard debit / credit card rights are maintained for seven days after entry.
The entire course is set within the village road network and comprises two 5K laps. The road quality is very good and flat throughout and capable of delivering really good times.
Getting to the start / finish area
The start and finish of the Port Sunlight 10K and 5K races is on the green at Windy Bank in the centre of the Village.
The nearest train station is either Bebington from the north or Port Sunlight from the south on the Chester – Liverpool line. Both are a short walk to the start / finish area. For more information visit www.merseyrail.org
From the north / Queensway Tunnel exit follow signs to Port Sunlight along the New Ferry by-pass. At the roundabout take the access road in Bolton Road and then follow event car parking signs.
From the south (Chester direction) follow the main Chester Road as far as the roundabout at the beginning of the New Ferry by-pass and turn immediately left at the traffic lights / roundabout junction onto Bolton road. Follow event car parking signs from here.

I’m only a running novice. Can I take part?
Yes you can. The event attracts a wide range of running abilities from beginners to experienced club runners.
Is it a fast course?
Yes it is with it being flat and hosted on good quality urban roads.
Is there a time limit to complete the course?
No. Most runners complete the course in about 75 minutes but there isn’t a time limit.
